Community Building Management provides short to medium term placements and supports transitioning pathway into independent living. We are working with Landlords that only offer high quality modern self contained units and shared accommodation which young people should rightly experience under our care, this in-turn can help the young person care about their surroundings. Our accommodations comply with the latest health and safety specifications which ensure our provisions compile with the relevant H&S regulations. Our rooms contain a bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedding, fridge, sink, ensuite shower room with toilet, wash basin and communal kitchen. Young people will be assessed at interview to determine their ability to manage their accommodation appropriately. We consider emergency placements on a case-by-case basis through our (24 hour) referral process and our counsellors will undertake a risk assessment within 24 hours to determine the level of support and structure the young person requires to identify and implement a support plan to assist the progress positively towards independence within our services. We will clearly explain the different types of support to expect depending on age and a pathway plan to be completed with the individual that will change as and when their circumstances change. We offer a range of accommodation - based support to cater to different needs and programmes to help young care leavers adjust into self-sufficiency from generic to therapeutic optional support packages.
Outreach
Our Support Workers specialize in providing one to one engagement to create character building relationships that can positively impact on the young person’s development toward adulthood. This in turn allows the flexibility of maximising support in whichever forum they are, displaying pro social behaviour and providing a sound mentorship that we believe is key to assist young people in their social, educational and emotional journey.
