Our counsellors and therapeutic support workers will formulate an initial risk assessment plan within the
young person’s first 24 hours. We then seek to implement support mechanisms for children and young people
with emotional needs, behavioural difficulties and mild learning disabilities. We will assess the needs of each
individual and provide bespoke care plans with our multi-disciplinary team who can offer specialist support.
Details will be given and explained clearly upon what the individual will need to achieve in order to keep their
placement from breaking down and the type of positive behaviour that will be expected of them during their
tenure and of course what the consequences will be if the agreements are not adhered too.
This is to create reasonable boundaries to help support them in their future independent lives, this will be
verbally explained and given to the young person in writing and them signing up to this upon admission.
However, we understand the wide range of challenges that young people face and if agreements are broken,
they will be given support and mechanisms to understand why certain negative patterns of behaviour are
unacceptable, as well as a complementary action plan identified through our registered in-house psychotherapist.
